Sweet Walks in Provence (July 3, 2006)This afternoon, I got a headache after coding this site all the morning, so I decided to make a pause and go for a walk.
I never said it before, but I like walking, particularly in the hills and walking/climbing in the nature is my favorite activity.
Now that I am back home in Toulon, I can enjoy once again the pleasure of walking. The place I went is called Chateauvallon, it is an easy ride: it took me less than 1 hour to reach the top of the hill, but it was a bit dangerous at the end because I was walking on unstable rocks.
The reason why I enjoy walking is that it lets me see beautiful sights, and sometimes it requires great efforts to discover places that noone else can see. I think it really is worth it: this magic moment when you reach the top and everything seems so small from above ! You are alone, in front of the nature and you can never get bored: even if you climb several times the same moutain, following the same path, it will never be the same, because nature changes with seasons and years !
I have taken some photos with my mobile phone, I hope they will make you appreciate the beauty of Provence.
In one month, I will move to another region: Isere in the Alpes, I will also post some news about my walks there, an interesting thing to do is to compare the photos of Provence and Isere, you will notice that it is totally different ! Not only the landscape, but the whole ambiance. And yet, the pleasure of walking remains intact, isn’t that great ?
