Today, as I was at Le Web 3 conference (www.leweb3.com) for work, I have met a great guy: Phuong Tran, on a very cool stand: TagMyPod.

Last week, I wanted to change the decoration of my apartment, and try to give it a personality that would reflect a part of my inner self, big project isn’t it :p ?
After thinking for a while on how to replace this white wall (which had 2 anime posters as only decoration), I decided to put two big picture frames (40×50 cm) instead.

So I looked for pictures I wanted to see put in the frames, and was hesitating between landscapes and citylights sceneries.
After reviewing several high quality pictures, I finally decided myself and put two photos from sights of Hong-Kong by night: one of WanChai and one of Victoria Harbour, the most beautiful harbour in the world!

I found the high resolution pictures on InterfaceLift. You can also get a lot of very good Hong-Kong night pictures on this site.

I went to a printshop company to get the two pictures at a very low price: usually 1 euro for a A3 image size!

Once I put the photo frames, I found the wall was still empty, so I wanted to add something more, and remember of a friends telling me about wall stickers. So I looked for that on Internet and found some very beautiful models with Japanese trees (cherry blossoms for example). The price of these stickers though made me think twice. I went also to Leroy Merlin to look for some interior decoration, and found a very beautiful Plum Tree wall sticker, that I bought.

Well, now the surprise, while looking at all the interior decoration products at Leroy Merlin, I went to the Lights part of the shop, and I was irresistibly attracted by a light that could change its color: the new Philips Living Colors LED Ambilight. After trying it for a few minutes, I bought it on a whim.

Total cost of this operation:
Philips Living Colors Led Light: 149 euros
Two 40×50cm photo frames: 25 euros
Two Hong-Kong 20×30cm size: < 5 euros
Plum Tree wall sticker: 50 euros

Total: 239 euros

Not sure if it was a good bargain, but anyway the pleasure is here and I am satisfied of it for the price I paid
I did it (not all by myself, ok my father helped me to put the frames on the wall ^_^), I feel comfortable in my home, I can change the light color according to my mood and the photos of Hong-Kong bring me the scenery change I need until I can get 2 weeks of holidays and flight back there! I am really eager to get back there and visit various parts of Asia I hadn’t time to before.

Some of you might already have noticed it: this week-end I changed the design of my blog.
Finally! After coming back from Hong-Kong in January, I spent 9 months in Paris, and my blog theme was still showing “Seb in Hong-Kong”. Of course I was nostalgic, but 9 months is a long period and after finding some free time I decided to redo the design.

The very funny thing was that I kept receiving mails from people asking me advices and informations about HK, while I was not there anymore, but they are not to blame because I was really lazy/busy

Why ordering a bottle of Coke in a café costs only 0.25 euros here in Argentina, about 0.15-0.2 euros in China, and between 2 and 5 euros in France ?

What I think: sitting in a french café is not the same as sitting in a café in China or Argentina, so hey it’s worth the price ? (joking of course)

Ola, que tal ??

I am arrived in Buenos Aires after a long long flight ! And my luggage is lost somewhere in the world. Yes, I have nothing with me as they have lost it, and I am still waiting for them to find it. Let’s be patient …

I have put online the photos of my first day in Buenos Aires, it’s was quite nice discovering the city.
I have already eat in two restaurants, and the meat is delicious! And so cheap, only about 5-6 euros for a 400gr part of beef!
It’s a bit cold around there, it’s winter, and unfortunately the sky has been grey all day long. Doesn’t change me a lot from Paris for the moment. I hope I will see the blue blue sky that Argentina is so famous for, that they chose this colour for their national flag !

The city is really huge, yet I didn’t see so many people in the street, compared to China it feels like the streets are really empty.
The big surprise is, contrary to what I expected, only a few people speek english in the shops and restaurants So I have to learn spanish quickly if I want to be understood !

Ok, I am not writing more for today, already spent too much time in front of my computer solving various issues in France, and writing the script so you can see the photos in a very friendly way.

Damn, I kept saying to myself for months never ever fall in love again Sebastien, it is not worthwile at all! Stupid me, stupid heart, stupid memories… leave from my brain forever and stop making my heart beat (if not liquify) for someone I will probably never see again ! This was my mood for the last months, and today I learnt that …..

Oh my goooooooood ! They are here, the new MacBook Pro, the third generation, I just can’t resist, my heart is beating so strongly ! I want one !!! Oh my goooooood I am a geek :’( Well to tell the truth, I already knew I was one, just can’t help being me. It’s time to save some money !!!

I am not going to talk about their tech specs, if you are interested in them just go to the Apple website. I think I will try to get a new 15 inches model as soon as I can, my own MacBook Pro being unable to support two screens and my work load !

Back to the first topic, I am not sure if this will change anything to my mind, I never get the happiness I am looking for through objects, yet I don’t know why I am so “responsive” to such announcements like the release of a new Mac ! Can people fall in love with objects, I am abnormal ?

For sure, I swear I will never ever be the first to fall in love if I get in a new relationship !!! That is said !

PS: you probably think this post is a joke and makes no sense; I DON’T CARE ! I just wanted to express the inner me tonight, and shout on my blog what my heart is feeling tonight.

I am back from “The Next Web 2007″ conference in Amsterdam that I attended to present the project I am currently working on.

I won’t talk about my project or what we have done at the conference, as it is still a secret ^^ but I can say some things about the other startups I have seen there and people I met there

Our booth was just next to the another french startup booth: MailEmotion, these guys are very cool and they provide a useful service that you might want to try: send videos by email. There was many other interesting startups, that we might hear about in the next few months !

I got a free “eBuddy.com” mug, and the person at the eBuddy booth was “damnnnnnn hoooooot” !!!!

I met also some great people, including Tariq Krim, CEO of Netvibes, the CEO of Allpeers that let us know there will be a huge announcement about Allpeers next week and various successful french entrepreneurs !
